"DaVinci Code" Exceeds Projected Revenues for Opening Weekend in Spite of Hate Campaign

“The Da Vinci Code” recorded a $224 million worldwide opening, the second-biggest debut ever at the global box office.

Favorable news for LDS missionary efforts, In the film’s 90 foreign markets, it ranked as the No. 1 opening of all time in Italy ($11.4 million) and Spain ($11 million), and No. 1 or No. 2 of all time throughout South America, all heavily Catholic territories.

There has been a persistant Orthodox Christian and Catholic assault against the movie. It began in its seriousness with what became a frivilous law suit (a law suit that did not have the merits to constrain the filming or the showing). But the Orthodoxy didn't have the strength of Emperor Constantine in their corner this time. Thank God for the US Constitution.

The Orthodox Christian camp is so divided through their own squabblings that they did not murder the book's author prior to the book being written. That would have been the fourth century signature move. So, no organized hate was heard until the movie was announced, after 40 millions copies of the novel had been read.

The DaVinci Code has officially reached fever pitch in the opening weekend of the movie. There are more than 14 books and DVDs, an official White Paper and FOUR MILLION Web site listings refuting the blasphemous claims in this thriller novel. Orthodoxy flails about with the message that the movie is an attack on Christianity.

And why the Fever? Ignorance is the reason. Ignorance breeds fear and hate.

Are you aware that less than 1/4 of high schoolers are Bible literate? 28% could not identify Moses. 8% thought he was one of the original twelve apostles; 7% thought he was the Pharoah of Egypt.

It isn't just the youth. When Jay Leno did a Jay Walking segment and asked Bible questions, participants answered that DeGeneres was a book of the Bible, Adam and Eve had no children, Moby Dick was swallowed by the whale and the item Jacob gave his son Joseph, making his brothers envious, was a new car.

The Orthodox Christian clergy is making a mockery of themselves and setting a tone for their members to follow suit. All they have to do is open their mouths. All of this confirms the failing of Clergy and Orthodox doctrines that could make Christian faith compelling, so compelling that in their private moments, the man and woman of the street leans heavily on our Lord Jesus Christ. If that is absent from your life blame your Church. The God you have always believed in is out there. YOu don't need to settle for somehting that does not work for you. Your first visit should be the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The best Sunday to do that is the first Sunday of the month.

Otherwise, name the Five major religions of the world.

Do not fret in failing; 90% of all teens cannot do it.

Big News: Some Apes and Birds are going to Heaven

Today's Remarkable Study: The LINK

About six months ago we got the nasty news from the Blogstream spokesman for Orthodox Christianity that Fluffy the dog was not going to Heaven. Although Thomisticguy at "Theology for Dummies" did not have God's blueprints for the creation of dogs, Thom claimed they did not have immortal souls but rather had sensate souls, because the Bible told him so - somewhere.

Thom remarked: Humans "can abstract concepts from real things...You can carry these concepts (abstractions) around in your mind...an immaterial process". He further explains this immaterial process enables free choice. "Free choice is simply your ability to compare and contrast possible means (conceptualized options) to a particular end and then choose one means to the end over another. Animals cannot do this because they cannot fully immaterialize, conceptualize and abstract ideas." Well, here on the Genuine Article we have news for all the doubters, but lets learn a more important lesson first.........

Most recently, in a post on the transcendent nature of God there appeared a moment of brilliance from "longlivemonarchy". He brought into question human judgement in these types of matters.... which I excerpt below:

"...God's essence so exceeds our minds that we could not contain Him. Moreover, even Thomas Aquinas acknowledges this point when he concludes that the human mind is incapable of coming to a true judgement as to wether the world is created, or infinite ...Thus, the mind cannot even discern all truths about the world by virtue of reason. How could it contain all truths about God?... it delineates a limit to human experience. It says ...something about the inadequacy of the human mind. It is not so much a proposition about God, as it is about us...That means that our propositions about the properties attributable to God are often demarcated by our capacity to to demarcate things. That means God shatters our categories, because God is not a thing, and God even shatters our logic...The human mind is inadequate alone, such as the world is created or infinite, and necessitates assistance--the grace of revelation, the grace of Christ."

The LINK

Research now concludes that some Apes and Birds strategize, plan ahead, making complex decisions in consideration for the future. In short, we have animals that now demonstrate the capability of doing most of what Thom previously postulated differentiated man from animal. Lets not make the error of supposing they have suddenly learned. Rather, we being so incapable of knowing God's creative powers are now only beginning to learn.

Apes and birds today, as we get smarter, Fluffy tomorrow.

Catholic and Protestant Spin on DaVinci Code Fails

THE SURVEY

We are one day away from the worldwide release of the motion picture "DaVinci Code". Please note my earlier spirited defense of the truth revealed in this movie.

Catholics and Protestants, realizing their demands that believers not watch "The Passion of Christ" had failed miserably, have been trying to figure out how to minimize the obvious damage of the DaVinci Code. They have been talking up the hope of bringing new members into their fold through careful and rehearsed explanations of the "absurdities" in this new movie.

A catholic research study released yesterday “The Da Vinci Code” has undermined faith in the Roman Catholic Church and badly damaged its credibility. The British survey, released by a group of prominent Catholics, revealed that readers of Dan Brown's blockbuster novel are twice as likely to believe Jesus Christ fathered children and four times as likely to think the conservative Catholic group Opus Dei is a murderous sect.

I tried to tell you that “The Da Vinci Code” is not just entertainment. But those Protestants here who call Catholics their church fathers scoffed at my assertions.

Astonishingly, a prominent collection of English Roman Catholic monks, theologians, nuns and members of Opus Dei, commissioned the survey from pollster Opinion Research Business (ORB) and sought to promote Catholic beliefs amid the film’s release. These leaders just didn't get it. Somebody should tell them and the Protestant clergy of today that we no longer live in a time where evil can be hidden.

People are saying that they will not be lied to any longer by these child molesters and lovers of murderers.

Thank the Lord for the Restoration of the Gospel and the return of the one true church.

Antelope on the plains of southern Colorado

This was taken at great distance. The original picture did not reveal the prongs on these antelope. They were but specks in the viewfinder and in the main photo. After loading this photo into my computer and using the Canon editing software to zoom into these fellows, I was surprise to see excellent detail. Remarkable camera.
